Free Motivational Letter From Santa for Your Child

In the past, I sold this Santa Letter. It was created by my brother for his wife's elementary school class. It's a great way to make your child feel special.

Construct your child's motivational letter from Santa by choosing from the paragraphs below

Introduction Paragraphs

(choose 1 of the following 4 paragraphs):

Introduction 1: I Know What’s on Your Christmas List

<child’s name>, I wanted you to know that one of my elves saw your Christmas list and made a copy for me. I was glad to see it because now I know just what you want for Christmas!

Introduction 2: Santa Learning to Use the Computer

<Child’s name>, I was so glad to get your letter! I learned to use the computer this year. Mrs. Claus and I took a correspondence course on how to send e-mail messages and use the Internet. The first thing that I learned was never push the Control, Alternate, and Delete keys at the same time! Since I know that you are a good little <child’s sex>, I know that you never visit a new website without your <mom’s, dad’s, mom or dad’s> permission.

Introduction 3: Thank you for writing about the gifts I brought last year

<Child’s name>, I wanted to thank you for your very nice letter about the presents I brought you last year. I can see that you are a nice <girl/boy> and have good manners. I bet you keep your elbows off the table too. I’ll have to bring you something extra special this year!

Introduction 4: We’re Ready for Christmas!

<Child’s name>, I enjoyed reading your letter. I think that you are as excited about Christmas as Mrs. Claus and I are. We’ve been singing Christmas carols every night, and Mrs. Claus has made a batch of her favorite Christmas cookies. I just finished putting up the tree. Be sure to hang your stocking by the fireplace, so that I can put a <stocking stuffer item> in it!

Main Body Paragraphs

(Select as many of these paragraphs as you would like):

The Christmas tree:

<Child’s name>, we have been very busy here at the North Pole putting up the Christmas tree. Mrs. Claus had to climb up a stack of 5 elves so that she could put the top ornament on. Is your tree up yet? I hope you will leave me a snack when I come on Christmas Eve. I am usually very hungry by the time that I get to your house.

Cleaning up your messes

With Christmas being just around the corner, my workshop is quite a mess. There are toys and wrapping paper everywhere. Those elves never quite pick up their messes! I bet you clean up all of your messes, <child’s name>. That is one of the things a good <child’s sex> does to help around the house.

Going to bed on time

<Child’s name>, I can hardly wait to visit your house. I know that you want to meet me, but I will probably get there after your bedtime. I know that you will listen to your <mom, dad, parents> and go to bed on time. You need plenty of time to dream about <sugarplums dancing, the toys that I’ll bring you,all the fun you’ll have on Christmas morning>. Don’t forget to leave me a snack by the fireplace. Sometimes I am very hungry by the time that I get to your house!

Have You Seen Frosty the Snowman?

It has been very cold at the North Pole this year. We had to keep the reindeer in the barn at night so they would stay warm. There was so much snow this year that I thought I surely would have seen Frosty the Snowman by now. Have you seen him yet this year? I was hoping that Frosty would lend me his top hat to wear at Christmas dinner!

I Hear That You Are Doing Well In School

Let’s see, you must be in the <grade level> this year. I know that <subject> is your favorite subject. I bet that you are working hard and listening to your teacher. Don’t forget: children who don’t do their homework get a lump of coal in their stocking. I am sure that will never happen to you because I know you are such a good student.

Is There Another Toy That I Can Bring You?

I know that you want a <toy> this year. So many <girl/boy>s have asked me for a <toy>. We seem to be running a bit low on them, so I’ll tell those elves to work extra hard and make more. Hopefully, I will be able to bring you one. Is there something else that you would like just as much? Let your <mom, dad, mom and dad> know what it is. <She,He,They> will tell me, and I’ll try to bring that for you.

Listening to Your Parents

Your <mom, dad, mom and dad> told me that you have been very, very good this year! That is terrific! All the good children that I know listen to their parents and do what they are told. I know that your parents appreciate that you do your <chores, homework> too!

The Reindeer are ready for the trip

<Child’s name>, the reindeer are in good shape for this year’s trip. We have been practicing for the big trip every day. I put 3 polar bears in the sleigh in place of the toys so the reindeers can practice with a heavy load. It was hard work at the start but now the reindeer are in great shape. Mrs. Claus even got me to start lifting weights, so I don’t have any trouble carrying my great big toy bag.

Rudolph is Ready For The Trip: New:

The reindeer can hardly wait for Christmas Eve. Rudolph has polished his nose so that it really shines. He’s very excited about leading my sleigh this year. He practiced leading the other reindeer around the Pole every night since Halloween when he dressed up as a light bulb. Vixen and Blitzen are ready for the trip too. They have put on a nice winter coat, and I’ve been giving them vitamins every morning!

What Toy Would You Like This Year?

<Child’s name>, I am making my list and checking it twice. I know that you have been good this year, and I want to give you something extra special. My favorite gift is a partridge in a pear tree, but I’ll bet you want something else. Just hit the "reply" button after you finish reading this letter, and let me know what you want by e-mail. You might also want to tell your <mom/dad,parents> to leave me a note about what you want by the fireplace, so I don’t forget to leave it for you when I visit your house.

You Had a Big Accomplishment This Year!

Your <mom, dad, mom and dad> told me that you <big accomplishment> this year. I’ll bet you were really happy about that! I know that your parents are very proud of you! I think that I will have to put a little something extra under the tree for such a special little <girl/boy>.

You’ve Had a Tough year

<child’s name>, your <relationship to the child> told me that you have had a tough year. I am sorry to hear that and hope you have an extra special Christmas this year. Tell your <relationship to the child> that I think you deserve a few extra Christmas cookies. I will put an extra candy cane in your stocking too!

Getting Along With Siblings

I heard that you and your [sister, brother, sisters, brothers, brothers and sister, brother and sisters, brothers and sisters] have had some problems getting along better this year. Several of the elves in my workshop had problems just like you’ve had in your family. I told them that if they didn’t argue and worked together to get things done, Mrs. Claus would bake them a batch of her special Christmas cookies. I bet that If you try your best to get along with everyone, you might find a special present from Mrs. Claus under the Christmas tree this year!

Taking Turns

The elves have been quite busy this year. They’ve build some great new toys including a super dooper treadmill for the reindeer to exercise on. Comet and Blitzen got into a big fight about who was going to use it first. Rudolph came to the rescue by bringing a stop watch to the North Pole gym. Then, each reindeer got to run on the treadmill for 5 minutes. If you have problems playing with your friends or the other children in your family, maybe Rudolph’s idea would work for you too!

Patience

Your (mom, dad, parents) told me that you can hardly wait for Christmas this year. It’s really hard for me to be patient too! I get into big trouble when I stick my finger in the bowl that’s filled with Mrs. Claus’ cookie dough. She gets so mad that she sends me to my room. I know that you’re such a good (boy, girl) that you will patiently wait for me to bring toys and goodies for you on Christmas Day.

Finish up the letter

Finish up your letter by wishing the child a Very Merry Christmas, and telling him/her to get to bed early on Christmas Eve so Santa can put lots of presents around the tree.

Print the paper out on festive Christmas paper, or just send it to him/her via email. You will bring a smile to a child's face this Christmas Season. What could be better than that!
